About Jessica Vogtman
I am a coffee loving southern California transplant, and have lived in Maryland since 2003. I have my degree in Biology from Notre Dame of Maryland University, and am a certified Labor and Postpartum Doula through Birth Arts International. I was introduced to birth work through my own birth experience and the doula support I received. Being supported and encouraged during my birth made it a loving introduction to motherhood.
After my first birth experience, I began hearing the birth stories of friends, neighbors, and community members. While hearing their stories, I felt how much our medical culture leaves families to fight against trauma and a lack of informed care. I wanted to be a part of the growing change, helping parents receive unbiased education and access to evidence based research.
I'm a believer that all families deserve support during this precious time, no matter your background, beliefs, or birth preferences. I've got your back.
I am located in Westminster, MD. I serve Carroll, Baltimore, Howard, and Frederick Counties. Its my main priority to be able to attend to your birth quickly!
